The Greek Ministry of Digital Governance Partners with Space ISAC

Paris, France, April 26, 2024 — Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Space ISAC) is pleased to announce The Greek Ministry of Digital Governance as a new partner. This significant development is set to have an immediate impact on space and Cyber Security aspects.

The objective of this publication is to announce the new collaboration with The Greek Ministry of Digital Governance. Since 2017, the General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Post of the Ministry of Digital Governance is the competent administrative authority for all civilian space issues in Greece. It represents the country in all European and international organizations including EU, ESA, ITU, as well as other international organizations with focus on Space related activities apart from EUMETSAT, which is represented by the Ministry on National Defense. Regarding ESA, the General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Post is the only funding, policy making and implementation state authority. With this collaboration, The Greek Ministry of Digital Governance will increase its capability to further identify and suspend space cybersecurity incidents.

According to Space ISAC Executive Director, Erin Miller, “Space ISAC’s partnership with The Greek Ministry of Digital Governance furthers international collaboration across the space sector and increases the Space ISAC’s ability to strengthen public-private partner relationships.”

Furthermore, according to the General Secretary of Telecommunications and Post, Prof. Konstantinos Karantzalos, “This new partnership opens new dimensions for the Greek Space strategy. This new collaboration underscores our unwavering commitment to further focus on cybersecurity and space matters.”

This development leverages advanced tools, capabilities, and features that align seamlessly with our aim to identify and resolve cybersecurity space aspects.

Looking ahead, the Ministry of Digital Governance and Space ISAC are eager to leverage this collaborative opportunity. Together, we aspire to address key challenges and foster growth in space cybersecurity governmental areas. This milestone will serve as a catalyst to harness momentum and fuel further progress in governmental space matters.
