COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, April 15, 2026 — Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Space ISAC) is pleased to announce the establishment of its Canada Global Hub. This significant development is set to enhance international collaboration, strengthen information sharing, and improve the collective defense of space systems and associated services across Canada and allied partners.

The objective of this Global Hub is to expand Space ISAC’s regional engagement and operational collaboration by building on the foundation of the Space ISAC Canada Forum. By formalizing Canada’s role within Space ISAC’s global network, Space ISAC aims to facilitate cooperation, enable coordination, and drive a shared sense of purpose across the Canadian space ecosystem, with the broad goal of reducing threats to space missions and associated services.

According to Erin Miller, Executive Director at Space ISAC, “The establishment of the Canada Global Hub is a meaningful step forward in operationalizing our vision for a globally integrated Watch Center. Through deeper collaboration and trusted information sharing, we are strengthening our collective ability to identify, assess, and respond to threats impacting space missions and services.”

This Global Hub underscores Space ISAC’s unwavering commitment to collective defense, bidirectional information sharing, and strengthening global partnerships to enhance the resilience of the space sector.

“Furthermore, Dan Kerry, Director at Deloitte Canada and Canada Hub co-chair, emphasizes their commitment to supporting the Canada Global Hub, stating, ‘Canada’s participation in the Global ISAC strengthens collective defense across allied nations, getting us one step closer to 24/7 global watch and robust information sharing to better identify threats, address vulnerabilities, and advance leading practices.’” Their contributions and partnership will play a critical role in advancing collaboration across Canada’s space and cybersecurity communities.

Additionally, Shirl Mitchell, Director of Cybersecurity and compliance at Telesat and Canada Hub co-chair, highlights the importance of this effort, stating: “I’m honoured to co-chair the Space ISAC Canada Global Hub. This effort reinforces the importance of trusted collaboration in addressing the growing cyber and physical threats facing space systems. By bringing Canadian perspectives into Space ISAC’s global network, we strengthen shared understanding and collective resilience across the sector.”

Their engagement will further strengthen industry collaboration and support the advancement of secure and resilient space operations.

This development leverages Space ISAC’s Watch Center capabilities, global threat intelligence network, and trusted partnerships, enabling an “all threats, all hazards” approach to cybersecurity in space operations and the exchange of Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI). By integrating Canada into its global operational framework, Space ISAC enhances situational awareness, supports coordinated response efforts, and builds on existing initiatives such as cross-border cybersecurity alignment and government collaboration.

Looking ahead, Space ISAC and its Canadian partners are eager to leverage this collaborative opportunity. Together, they aim to strengthen cross-sector coordination, drive innovation, and address the increasingly complex threat landscape facing the space domain. This milestone will serve as a catalyst to harness momentum and fuel further progress in securing space systems and critical infrastructure.
