COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, April 14, 2025 — The Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Space ISAC) is proud to announce the establishment of its UK Global Hub, marking a significant step in its mission to enhance international collaboration in space security. This milestone, unveiled during the 40th Annual Space Symposium, strengthens Space ISAC’s ability to “follow the sun”—tracking adversarial activities from ground to space across multiple time zones and allied nations.
Space ISAC is dedicated to sharing critical information and collaborating with the United States, its allies, and partners on behalf of the global space sector. The UK Global Hub plays a crucial role in advancing this mission, further connecting the organization with AUKUS partners, Japan, the European Union, and other nations that share common space security values. By expanding in the UK, Space ISAC moves closer to establishing a comprehensive, 24/7 global threat monitoring and response network.
“The launch of our UK Global Hub represents a pivotal advancement in international collaboration for space security,” said Space ISAC Executive Director Erin Miller. “This expansion reinforces our commitment to protecting space assets worldwide and ensures that our members benefit from real-time information sharing, no matter where they operate.”
Kev Jones, CGI Partner, Director – Secure Space Systems – Space, Defence and Intelligence, added, “In today’s complex and increasingly chaotic world, where our species now fundamentally relies on the systems within and services provided by the space domain, protecting and defending it is non-negotiable. Collective defence is a survival strategy that speaks to the heart of the human condition and its imperative to survive via competition. Evolution rewards fitness, so Collective Defence only survives if it can outperform the competition. Space ISAC and its fledging UK Global Hub are part of a solution that should sustain strategic, trusted relationships, with like-minded partners, enabling the behaviours and ways of working that allow us, together, to sense, understand, track, identify, warn, decide and mitigate the growing number of threats and hazards to our collective, interrelated space operations.”
This expansion enhances Space ISAC’s growing capabilities by strengthening real-time monitoring of cyber and physical threats impacting space systems. This advancement also deepens collaboration with space and defense organizations, as well as commercial entities, fostering stronger international collaboration. Additionally, it also improves global response times to emerging space security threats through a more strategic incident response coordination.
“People’s daily lives are now enabled by and reliant upon space,” said Lewis Feilder, Deloitte’s UK Defense Air and Space Leader. “This makes space systems a potential target and the UK has an important role to play in defending our collective interests in space. Being able to rapidly share threat information with global counterparts is a key pillar in space defence. Deloitte has been at the forefront of galvanising private sector collaboration that makes us all safer and the UK Global Hub is the latest step in this.”
Ryan Roberts, Principal, Deloitte & Touche LLP and a U.S. Cyber and Strategic Risk Leader, said, “Cyberthreats are becoming more sophisticated and the risks they pose to organizations and governments continue to grow. Establishing the Space ISAC UK Global Hub will provide teams with actionable insights to help identify cyber risks in their infancy and develop strategies to protect space assets and operations.”
With the UK Global Hub officially announced, Space ISAC is focused on further expanding its international footprint, strengthening partnerships, and inching closer to a complete “follow the sun” model. This launch marks another exciting step towards Space ISAC’s commitment to driving innovation and equipping the global space community with the tools needed to mitigate threats.
