The Israel Space Agency Partners with Space ISAC

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, April 9, 2024 — Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Space ISAC) is pleased to announce its partnership with the Israel Space Agency, an agency that initiates, leads and coordinates civilian space activities in Israel.

The objective of the partnership between Space ISAC and the Israel Space Agency is to expand global partnership and collaboration. The Israel Space Agency is particularly supportive of scientific research and development with real economic potential, such as the development of unique and innovative technologies. Their all-encompassing approach will bring new perspectives to Space ISAC and its community and further the goals derived from the Space ISAC mission.

According to Space ISAC Executive Director, Erin Miller, ” The partnership with the Israel Space Agency brings great value to our collective defense, strengthens the security posture of our space systems and will deliver actionable information to both parties.” This partnership underscores our unwavering commitment to collaboration across the global space community.

Furthermore, Uri Oron, Director of Israel Space Agency emphasizes, “The Israel Space Agency is committed to fostering a thriving and secure international space ecosystem. Partnering with Space ISAC allows us to share knowledge and information and we see this partnership with Space ISAC as a critical step towards achieving our shared goals to ensure a secure space environment.”

The Israel Space Agency shares common interests with the Space ISAC and by forming a partnership Space ISAC aims to further advance global collaboration in space security.

Looking ahead, Space ISAC and the Israel Space Agency are eager to leverage this collaborative opportunity. Together, we aspire to secure global space and expand the knowledge and education of space cybersecurity. This milestone will serve as a catalyst to harness momentum and fuel further progress and international collaboration. We look forward to the multitude of collaborative opportunities this partnership brings and the possibilities it holds for the space industry as a whole.

 

 

BACKGROUND

Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) is a 501(c)(6) organization that serves as the all-threats security information source for the public and private space sector. Founded in 2019, Space ISAC became an official member of the National Council of ISACs in 2020. The Space ISAC Watch Center achieved initial operational capability in March 2023.

Space ISAC is located at the Kevin W O’Neil Cybersecurity Research and Education Building at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. The Space ISAC serves to facilitate collaboration across the global space industry to enhance our ability to prepare for and respond to vulnerabilities, incidents, and threats; to disseminate timely and actionable information among member entities; and to serve as the primary communications channel for the sector with respect to this information. After opening the Watch Center in 2023, member services include support for response, mitigation, and resilience initiatives, while breaking down communication silos of public-private information sharing.
